just this friday, my officemates and clients, was having a chit chat after the final video production viewing. and of all the things that can be talked about... they have to start with the "coming of age".
my officemate is really freaking out with the fact that she will be turning 30 this year. and she was really having a dillema of sorts. in which, those who have already passed that age, gave her reassuring efforts about going at that stage. reminds me... when my cousins got to that age of 27, they all have it planned out that at that age, having a family is goal to be met. and seriously they did. it also reminded me about my friends who were so into the "we're-turning-twenty-four-so-start-planning-for-a-wedding" kind of mode. interesting discussion right?...

age. we do really count them like some sort of beads being tied to a string.
hmm... i always believed that maturity is what counts most. not the years that you have lived. it is just how we measure our lifespan enough to make everyone go loco over their own vanity. haha so how about you? any dillemas at getting yourself a year older?

Enter the "...BER" month
haaay... September na! umpisa na naman ng mga "...ber" months. meaning september, october, november...and december (Pasko na! yey! Christmas time!) ehem... easy...september pa lang. as in! it really sinks in at this time of the year na each and everyday e there is certain plague of uncertainty just knocking at your door. kanina lang, yung isa kong opisinameyt, so early in the morning, could you imagine Jose Mari Chan (the award-winning composer of sentimental love songs and christmas tunes...yes. he is the one) greeted her on her way to the office, with no less than a... christmas song. funny snippet. well... i'll just save my thoughts for the year in general at the end of this year (at the start of the new year).


in the words of mitch albom: "every end is the beginning, we just don't know it at that time..." (or something to that effect if i didn't put the exact words...my bad. please forgive the gagongbata hehe)

as august ends and september begins... some doors will close and some will open...there are those who will say goodbye and those who will be left behind...some will march on, while some will just decide that "that's all folks!"


BED-RIDDEN
the last week of august and dear old body of mine suddenly cough and gagged under the weight of all the angst, stress, booze, food tripping, lack of sleep and over-sleeping, angst, stress, booze, food tripping, lack of sleep and over-sleeping, and other stuffs that has nothing to do with work (i think...hmmm) hey! superman is on the tv, again! (i don't know if it is the 4th or 5th installment though, but it's christopher reeves<-- oo, yung orig!) FOR 3 DAYS!!!! could you believe?! nakakaloka na ang nakahiga ka palagi sa kama at ang pwede mo lang gawin is to sleep, drink medicine (3 times a day), eat, sleep, drink medicine (3 times a day), eat... routinary. okay sana yung bakasyon for three days kung hindi lang sa pag-inom ng gamot. medicines are bad in my mouth (eeeewwww.... hehe) but i don't have a choice. i have to. it's either, i drink my medicine or suffer. anyway, i'm happy, kase nakakainom na ako ng gamot in tablet form (aside from neo-aspilet) wehehehe

The other night I was thinking of how fun it has been working here... ops! excluding the unpleasant experiences, dapat positive devah para masaya. Siyempre bawat isa may trademark na tatatak talaga sa utak ko. Isa-isahin natin...

EDWARD - Ang lalaking mahilig umakyat sa tuktok ng mga bundok. Kase naman... yun lang ang klase ng bundok na kaya niyang marating, nakarating ka na nga ba Dward?!!! Hehehe...

BELLE - Ang Diyos ng mga mahahalay. Puro ka naman bark, walang bite e, Sige ka malapit na magsara yun kay Oden. (Oden, I love you! )

DHENG - The first guy na naka-close ko dito. Ang lalaking maraming alam. Always have something new to teach me. Pati self defense.

GEOF - Ang pinoy version ni Mariah Carey...ang gay na mahilig kumanta sa mike biglang tili sa peak... ng songs... haha....

SEPH - the king of angst. First day ko dito, angst na naririnig ko hanggang sa pag-alis ko angst pa din! Pero hmmmn... may talent pala ito sa song writing. On the spot composing lyrics and singing songs pertaining to ... what... ANGST PA DIN! Hahaha! Very sarcastic pero kwela. Ang masasabi niya sa lang...love ko toh!!!! Hahaha!!!!

MECK - Ang partner ni Pam, Ang Rockista ng opis na ito, ang umaapi kay Sarah, ang natatanging tao na walang 'F' at 'V' sa sarili niyang alpabeto. But he is super nice. Swerte na sayo ang friend kong si Pam. Hope you guys end up together, forever!

LESTER - Ang indian guy na mahilig sa helicopter. Sana wag sumabit ang long hair mo no!

PAO - Wala ako masyado masabi kay Pao kase bihira ko lang makita e. Mga 2 hours a day lang hehe. Ay meron pala! Ang lalaking gusto bumanat ng kepays kahit saan... take note ha, 'kepays' plural itech! Joke lang Pao, pero half meant yon kase totoo... hahaha! (peace!)

REX - Hmmm... pagkakataon ko na to para gumanti sayo, hayop ka! Ikaw lang ang kaisa-isang taong nagpa-iyak sakin dito! Haha! Joke lang... Yeah, I did cry, but it's not your fault... kaya we're okay. Si Rex, pag nagsalita yan kahit na di magpatawa, nakakatawa. Slang kase! Beer pa Rex?! He's well known for being a womanizer... hmmm true ba yan??? Whether it's true or not, o e ano naman. there's a lot to appreciate about this man. Being kind and very responsible are just a few. You don't even have to see his very soul to appreciate him, coz his true character is shining thru... And mind you, kulay ng skin lang niyan ang maitim, at hindi ang budhi... Oks ba, bossing? Thanks for everything, Rex. It has been nice knowing you!

JAY - I see him as a faithful husband and responsible father. Pero i heard mabagal daw ito, as in super.... saan?

POLY - how can I forget Poly, she's the one who helped and guided me through all the projects during my first weeks here. Ang kakulitan ko araw-araw. he's the female version of my best friend, Chino..... He? Female? Ano ba? Hahaha! Wabyu Poly, gusto mo nang 'extra rice' ? Hahaha!

VAL - Ang guy na laging kinakausap ang sarili... may sarili ba siyang mundo o wala lang talagang gustong sumagot sa mga tanong niya. haha! (peace val?) ang taga dala ng chips at dip, people love him for this. hehe. Lalo na ng kanyang seatmate! Di ba Harvs??? I was able to have a long talk with this guy. If I'll base my judgement on what he said, I think he's good at nurturing relationships. Agree ba kayo???!!!

PAUL - uhmmm... fill in the blank na lang _____________________________________________. Yan sya!!! Ang saya-saya!

ZYLE - ang babaeng iilagan mo sa una kase masyadong malakas ang dating! Sa angst, she's the female version of Seph pero mas matindi. Female version din ni Meck, kase rock star pero mas astig. Ang babaeng taklesa, madalas nasa tabi na pala nya yun taong tinitira niya sige pa din. Minsan nagbenta ng mga used audio tapes, iba yun cover pero laman puro moaning nila...ewan ko kung sino! Kayo ba yon ng asawa mo yon Mama Zyle???!!! Haha! Taklesa talaga. May pagka-salbahe pero dun sa mga taong deserving, kaya pag nagustuhan ka niyan you should be thankful kase true blue yon, walang bahid ng kaplastikan. That's as far as I know... hehehe. Isa sa mga totoong taong nakilala ko.

JAS- di ko masyadong nakasama tong gal na ito but I heard she's a very good friend. Kapatid ni Dheng so malamang totoo nga yon.

DUSCO - Ang object of affection ni Zyle, Ang sinasabing, laging mabango ni Mommy Oden. Naamoy mo na ba singit niyan?!

MANNY- the guy with gray hair and he loves to eat fish. Yun lang alam ko sa kanya e.

DENISE - ang natatanging angkan ng mga Ortigas na nakikipagsiksikan sa UKAY-UKAY to buy used clothes. Hoy, mayaman ka na no, kaya mo ngang bumili ng mall e. But this girl is super down to earth. Di maarte. Kakagulat lang nung malaman kong mahilig sa celebrities??? Are you part of the circle???

MIKE - he's very malambing that's why I like him. Sayang lang di niya ako type!!! Hahaha! kase naman pareho kaming girl no!

ANNA - the big girl who's got big brains. Mukhang laging busog.

PAM - my dear sweet friend, when I need a comforting hug, all I need to do is run to her. Will miss you, Pamie. Pero syempre di pa ito last day natin together. I love you!!!

HARVEY - we're cousins. I'm his cousin IT and he's my cousin EAT! One guy na di pwedeng di mo mapansin sa lake ng katawan nya at celebrity appeal! I'm so glad may picture na kame together! May friend na akong artista! Haha! He's my number one customer, ang lakas kase kumain, ang parating bumabangga ng chair ko, pag dumaan talaga, nahahawi ang daan. He always play with my hair, palibhasa arabohok. Kakaibang specie etoh! He's my giant forever huggable baby! One that we'll all surely miss. I love you Harvs!

24.june.2006 famy, laguna hike minor climb (if you can call it a minor climb... talk about battling a very wet weather while climbing the steep, muddy, rocky, shit-full slopes ... plants! plants! and more plants and trees... cliff of which some... are barbed wired, while some... guess where it will end? bwahaha) more importantly, it's a night hike :) exciting! hehe

at dahil pasaway ang gagong bata na palaboy (na tulad ko...) lahat yata ng bawal gawin when you'll gonna going on an hiking expedition nagawa ko. but anyway, these are, in my intrepid mind, the most important things you should consider to bring along and must-haves when hiking (though bringing an alcoholic beverage depends i think... half of my mind says we should've brought one along, half of it thought... buti na lang!*):

*i have to consider the weather on this thought and the terrain... 1) bring a mountaineering or hiking bag... it's much bigger and can well adapt itself to whatever conditions you're gonna be in aside from being compact. (whatever! i brought my backpack instead...it's more like a small school bag in the eyes of everyone... i think) 2) it's a common knowledge for any mountaineer or hiker to wear proper lightweight attire--- and i didn't (i'm comfortable wearing jeans...so why can't i? hehe) and hiking shoes anyone?!...nah! i wore my trusty and dependable chucks (pic at the bottom) that i usually wear every damn day (hehe this is the limited edition folks!...sure it didn't help at getting me to avoid splashing around in muddy ground... but its the best sneakers that i've ever put into such a gruelling test) 3)be in the company of friends... kasi it is much fun doing these activities with the people you're pretty much comfortable with ---- this is what i like most! 4)have a guide --- we have the best!


by the way, there are only three of us who dared to climb the mountain, challenged the weather, and hike all the way to the camp at night!

if i would describe what my life is...it's music.

music is everywhere. it maybe the trees singing along with the wind. or the birds that chip and chatters. may it be orchestral, classical, rhythm and blues, rock 'n roll, jazz, country, disco, punk, grunge, rock, metal, techno, new wave, ballad, pop, alternative, acoustic, acapella, world music, or even choir songs. it's what makes this "gagong bata" such a neurotic blend. the sounds of the streets are music to my ears as well. apart from the noise, silence is such a relaxing tune. one may agree or not, i'm not a specialized listener (meaning listening to specific genre of music). i listen. that respect, i give to music. and music is everywhere. (put scene of "The Sound Of Music" here where Julie Andrews is singing on a hilltop --- i think it's the opening scene) maybe its no wonder God gave us ears. we should all learn to listen.
