It was 7:35pm. Philippine time. December 1, 2008.
Visible in the night sky tonight is the planets
Venus and Jupiter, and Earth’s only satellite– the Moon.

The sky is smiling tonight.

Venus, Jupiter, and the Moon
and i was once an astronaut...
Ganito Dati… Ganito Ngayon…

DJ Nicoleyala of Love radio (a local FM station in the Philippines), never fails to amuse my thoughts. As a traveling commuter, and no ipod earphones stuck to my ears, I get to hear lots of things that it picks up. Gotta love all that noise in the streets. Hehehe. Sometimes I get to appreciate what I hear, sometimes I don’t. But that darn disc jockey, made me appreciate the corny-ness of her spiels. Because it’s a sad but true fact, that we hardly took notice of unless it hits us right smack in our eyes. Just like this:

Dati, lahat ng nakikita nating naghahalikan ay magsyota.
Ngayon… hindi lahat ng nakikita nating naghahalikan ay magsyota.

(Before, when we see two people kissing– they are a couple.
Today…when we see two people kissing–not all of them are a couple.)

Dati, maraming makikitang naggagandahang babae.
Ngayon…maraming makikitang magaganda, pero hindi lahat babae.

(Before, we see lots of beautiful women.
Today… we see lots of beauty, but not all of them are women.)

Wala lang. break time joke time.

Black is the new Red, White, and Blue

Personally, I don’t really give a damn about the U.S. Presidential Election 2008. Between, Barack Obama and John McCain, they’re both a draw. Though they would greatly affect the world at large, I can’t really judge them unless they have already worked their ass off. On character, they’re both at their level, though they’re ages apart. Their platforms, well it’s nothing but the usual politician spiels (which by the way remains to be seen). On ideologies, they may differ, as it affects their root persona. But by closely comparing, they’re
both the same, but with different tacks on handling things, solving problems, giving sound and definite solutions. Individually, they fought two different battles which showcased their true prowess–one shows his uncannily courageous leadership skills and the other, an underdog.

Just finished lunch when my friend announced that “it’s finished.”

At first I didn’t understand. What the fuck is finished? Did I missed a practically good joke? And then it dawned on me as I was seeing on her monitor the victory party of some sort. Obama wins the 44th U.S.Presidency. Barack Obama won. The underdog of the game. The multi-racial candidate. The youngest presidential candidate ever to have won. The first, black American President. John McCain put up a good fight. He may have conceded, but his honor is intact. And nothing more can be much greater than that.

Congratulations! U.S. President Barack Obama.
And best regards at your new position of being America’s ship captain.

Meeting WALL • E
I never would’ve thought Pixar’s latest flick Wall•E, would be that impressive. I was impressed hands down. Not just that, I love that dirty piece of metal junk cleaner. Hmmm… if I remember correct, the name stands for Waste Allocator Load Lifter – Earth Class. Thus, the name. in shorter terms, it’s the garbage collector. Hahaha imagine all the filth humans has accumulated left our good Mother Earth to just simply be left wasted and forgotten. And the startling sad fact is…its already happening. That future is just a glimpse away. Tsk.Tsk.

The movie started with that sad fact that everything you see on Earth is a waste. Tall buildings that were so familiar in many Hollywood films were reduced to the presence of the towering garbage that the robots have built for how many years. And the silence was deafening. Earth is such a fucking wasteland. Its so grim, that kids as young as four would say loudly for everyone in the cinema to hear “Are those all garbage?” it made me want to tell the kid, “Yup. And one of those garbage happens to be your own crap.” Hehe. Its just so silent, well not that silent that you don’t really hear anything, but the kind of silence that says you are alone. Of course, the only Earth resident at that time is Wall•E who pretty much enjoys working while listening to a very classic musical song. With only its pet cockroach for company, it enjoys the simplicity of life. Until, it came face-to-face with EVE (which Wall•E pronounces as eee-v-ahh). I can’t help but sympathize for Wall•E’s effort to get to know EVE. I mean being alone and all, meeting EVE brought something out of Wall•E. I guess it brought out the palaboy in itself. Hahaha. Something to look forward to and another robot to converse with.

Wall•E’s so cute when he’s shaking because Eve can really be deadly^^ It grew on me. And the fact, that I would really love to kick some numbskull who is so lazy to get up and move their body around, this is my big fucking middle finger to them. “You don’t use them, then you lose them.” I forgot where I heard this line before, but it is pretty much appropriate, to describe the lack of concern of humans in their surroundings. >:D That’s why I love this film. And that, coming from somebody who is skeptic about this particular movie in the first place. Now Wall•E and EVE is towering over me whenever I wake up, because nowadays, they usually hang around my bedside :D

I am an Eagle

Introduction - The Astrology of Time
The ancient Maya and Aztec astrologers studied the mysterious influence of the rhythms of the sky on earthly life. Everyone knows the Sun rises and sets every day -- this is the basic rhythm of life around which we set our clocks and calendars. What the ancient astrologers discovered was that other time cycles existed that were multiples of this basic day cycle. This fact was discovered about 100 years ago in Europe and these cycles (there are many of them) are now called biorhythms.

The most important time cycles in ancient Mayan and Aztec astrology are those of the day, 9-days, 13-days, and 20-days. Additionally, years are counted also, in groups of 4 and 13. Each day is then part of several other cycles, so no two days are exactly the same. Keep in mind that our personalities are complex and contain many contradictions. All of us present a different "face" depending on who we meet. The delineations below will reflect this, but they will also give you a clear picture of who you really are. The true value of astrology lies in self-knowledge, the first step to wisdom.

those on-line tests are a real fascination for me. there are no girls (even guys) that I know who didn’t took one of those darn foolish tests whenever they come across one. it is already (somewhat) a given notion that girls love to try these out…you know? out of curiosity and fun. hehe. Well so much so, that it surprises me that guys would do as well (pointers about girls, they say). okay, enough of the intro. I just answered one. a bit more on the astrological, psychological…albeit, scientific and historical way of knowing one’s self. the Mayan-Aztec astrology. what the hell. just for fun. based on experience, some of the results can really boggle one’s head as to how come truth can slap you in the face, hard. And I’ll just gonna go through the points. It may be wrong or right. I may be just a bit beyond being gullible, hallucinatory, stupid, and just plain bored out of my head.

You are Eagle Eagle: You like to be a free spirit. You would probably just take-off for parts unknown but you usually have some complex relationship issues to deal with, so you don’t. But you like time alone. You have your own set of rules in life that has developed from your own unique perspective on things and you tend to take an experimental approach to many areas of your life. At worst, you can become too self-involved. At best, you are a person who pioneers changes and furthers new developments in the social world.

this is real creepy. Hahahaha maybe because of the fact that i am a crab. born in the sign of cancer according to the horrorscopes…oops! horoscopes :D and yes. i am a gagong palaboy. a professional wandering unintentional bastard. i wish I could change the social world, but then it would be wishful thinking because as people, we are such hard-headed creatures to begin with. hehe God would’ve been taking tons of stress tabs, i bet. i second the mention on my worst though. true. but I realized, that as humans…we were built to further any upgrade or downgrade that we may wish to have for self-improvement. that is, if we realize it before the expiration period runs after each one of us.

Besides…it doesn’t sound too bad to be an eagle in the Mayan-Aztec astronomical order. Just a piece of knowledge for human brain consumption. damn those Happy peanuts and mixed liquors.
dead batt.

Three weeks.
It wasn’t like being in a Hell Week all over again. Rather, it’s more of draining all the power after all the tasks at hand were done. I am literally having a case of being dead batt. I’m finding it cool at the moment. Oh the perpetual vision that I have of doing–nothing. Wahahahaha. Oooooh... and I’m loving it. Back to old school hip-hop with Masta Plann. All those rhyming and cool disc scratching plus easy to sing along chorus makes me remember the times when I’m not always staring face-to-face with a computer monitor.

Three weeks.

And it made me remember that I can be both superhuman and subhuman all at the same time. That 24 hours is not enough. So much so that it doesn’t seem to matter anymore, just the deadline. I’ve turned into a schizo in no time. Balancing two…rather…four personas without running into each other is but a feat well achieved. A respect not well earned. Oh well. Just sacrificed somethings to accomodate all the tasks i have on my plate (however disgruntled i am, i hope it was worth it), not being able to sleep (come on! I have to clean these things…that’s what I was being paid to do. just don't fucking tell me that i didn't do the task at hand. that's too much of a low blow-below-the-belt cowardice), and having nightmares when I’m fuckingly wide awake. haaay anything just to earn a living. haha good thing friends around keep the gagong palaboy in check. oh by the way, that printing proof that you sent was a disaster. huh?whatthefuck...how many logo designs do they want?... what?again. i didn't quite catch what you're driving at...how in the world could you make a snowflake –artfully done?!... make the voice over glossy?!... so they like the red and the purple, they also want it shimmering, glimmering and glossy talent?... i believe when they say they wanted comic sans, they are pertaining to any handwritten type fonts...do they want to delete it or do they wanted to change it then bring it back again after being deleted?... a brave new word for "revision" is termed as "amendment".

Thank goodness, my brain cells (which is by the way just gotten out of the rut meeting The Wall along the way, which hinders my productivity to a mere definite zero) didn’t conked out of me. Whew! At least, Naughty By Nature, The Beastie Boys and Francis Magalona kept me in check.

You’ve got to fight for your right to paaaaaaaaarrrr….tey!

Another Busy Weekend

September is almost ending. I was geared up for the weekend becoming a literal weekend warrior as Friday turned to Saturday. I was useless the whole day (Friday) because of a hangover from a night out with friends to answer our weeklong craving for a beer. And it was a toss up when a friend of mine (from another batch) was confirming me to be available for a tv show shoot early Saturday. Ergo, I would have to tuck in to bed and get up early. It was a fun day Saturday. I’m back at the training grounds again. Feeling how my body would react especially my rehabilitating limb from the activity that I sorely miss because of my injury. And it was okay. Not okay just like before. Just okay, fine, I’m managing. Damn it. Here comes fear again. This time around I need to push harder. Fear instilled itself on my freaking body. I’m so eager to break him off from me. Hehe. Plus, I hang around with the guys again. I miss them really. It was fun to know that there are newbies in the group and that our troop is getting bigger :D we’ve got a handful of talented students. And a friend of mine manages to drop on by and join us^^ Yes! now, I’m not the only female in the group. Though we have other two who were not actively participating yet because of some other stuff. Yey! Now, my friend wants to join. By the way, she’s good. She could do pull ups better than I do. (okay, I can’t do pull ups really haha). And the shoot was cool. Aside from sitting side by side with a good-looking show host, our group is actually being featured in a show launching vehicle come Monday. (ooh I can’t wait. I made a booboo I think.) I was the group’s camera person that day. I don’t mind though because of my injury rehab. And my friend is really panicking with me lugging his camera while I jump and run around with them. Hahahaha I took cool hanging in the air motion shots. It was fun. we ended around 4pm. I have to rush immediately to a printing shop so I can ready all the equipments and materials I will use for my personal projects nearing its deadline. Good thing, it fell on a Tuesday. The good part is miscalculating my calendar. So I am one day ahead of the deadlines. Officially, it’s a Monday now. The whole Sunday was dedicated to my unfinished personal projects. And when I did get my sleep, I woke up with a clear head showing me reels of what I’ll be doing once I’m in the zone. Hehe. a couple of logo design ideas were popping up. But I don’t know as to what they’re for. I’ll deal with them some other time. I have to revise the writing project that I have. Not that I aim for it to be super duper Nobel-Prize award winning literary piece. I just want it to be uhm…a better-told story. Or something that my English teachers back in highschool would mark it in lieu of how the story would be told OR anyone would be able to understand what I’m babbling about. I am not a writer. I just love writing. I aim to improve my communication skills in writing, which I put on the sidelines to give way to talking visually. Now it’s done. Here comes the bigger project that I need to finish because I’ll be personally delivering it early morning. A mag cover and an exhibit piece is enough to keep me occupied. I encountered The Wall along the way, which rendered my concept forming capabilities null. But good thing I had an idea formed already, its just the works that’s bothering me. Thank God the submission deadline was extended til the end of the month. I was already moving along thinking everything is lost, but hope comes tugging me back for a moment.^^ ooh I love looking at myself smeared with and playing with paints hahaha I’m not to be bothered til my project’s finish. I miss doing this concept and mixing modern and traditional way of making a piece. Though it does look like a student work, I’m still happy as I applied the finishing touches. :D and for the last project, again, it’s a literary piece. I just want to enter something that I have done from the past, because it fell right smack on a theme. Just for the fun of submitting. Maybe some would see its worth or something. It’s just so tiring to read my own stuff when I can impart something (I wish) to others. Maybe they can make sense of it more than it made sense to me. So there. A busy but fun weekend.

palaboy newsmakers

another one ALMOST bites the dust
the hazards of working is when we cross paths with Fate.

as Don McLean aptly put it in the song American Pie "...They caught the last train for the coast / The day the music died." well most artists of the music industry were epitomized by plane crashes other than the usual car crashes, drugs and other stuff. just recently, the drummer of blink 182 (who declared themselves in hiatus) Travis Barker, got himself involved in a plane crash. see Yahoo!'s Stop the Presses about the news that almost ALMOST cut the drumming beats of one of today's most sought after drummer.

proving the Big Bang Theory
well, aside from the fact that it was now shutdown, to be re-scheduled to operate in the year 2009, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has made the news headline last month. Triumphed scientists, angered people (especially the most hardworking individuals), criticized by heck lot of people around the world for their seemingly lack of importance when it comes to solving world problems but can afford to build a machine that would just crush a couple of molecules or end the days of the world in an instant. According to Wikipedia: The LHC was built by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and lies underneath the Franco-Swiss border between the Jura Mountains near Geneva, Switzerland (Tintin Adventures!!!!haha). It is funded by and built in collaboration with over eight thousand physicists from over eighty-five countries as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories. The LHC circulated the first particle beams on 10 September 2008, but a few days later had to suspend operations due to equipment failure. Owing to the already planned winter shutdown, the collider will not be operational again until the spring of 2009.

Many have contested as to why in the world we have to build this thing (because it cost a lot... A LOT) just to prove if the big bang theory is true or not. scientifically, i believe that it would benefit our knowledge of the world that we live in. ON THE OTHER HAND, why not just build something that would benefit the humankind...like a cure for AIDS, hunger, health issues concerns. how about addressing the immediate problems first? y'know, those kind of stuff that nobody dared to answer unless their own lives were on the line. oh well, that's just my point of view.

something from Libre

"Because no one has the right to deny another their life, eventhough they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8" -Brad Pitt

actually, i read this bit of showbiz chika about two days ago. it made me admire Brad Pitt even more hahaha (of course with a notable inclusion of his partner Mrs. Smith a.k.a Angelina Jolie). He donated $100,000 in support of gay marriage in Los Angeles, when it became legal back in June.

Proposition 8 is an initiative measure on the 2008 California General Election Ballot. If passed it would amend the California Constitution with a new section that would read "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." The measure, as submitted for the ballot by petitioners, is called the "California Marriage Protection Act." The ballot title, as prepared by the Attorney General Jerry Brown is "Eliminates Right of Same-sex Couples to Marry." - Wikipedia

artfully done

this wasn't in the papers nor in any internet news sites, web page, and what-have-yous. the problem with communication is trying to figure out what other people mean by what they are saying. even though, we're all speaking the same language (technical or otherwise) miscommunication is something of a hurdle that we have to contend with from each other. especially if it was used without even knowing what it means.

yeah. yeah. i'm always guilty of that too. because sometimes i use words in my own definition of it. so, yes, that's why i at most wanted to explain what i mean about what the fuck am i saying. my bluntness causes me too much. but okay, this one is the epitome of all the phrases that i have come across. I AM NOT GOOD AT PHRASES. but this one stumped me big time. hahaha artfully done means in good taste. well thats me if i were to put it in layman's term. but i encountered this in a revision of which i could not comprehend if i will take it as an insult or just a problem that needs to be addressed. and i do take constructive criticism because it helps in one way or another. the story: in the JO (job order) i have to revised a compre flyer that features a snowflake/s. well to make the flyer look "elegant" as what they wanted... minimal design elements is a way to go (rather than clutter it with too much design elements that by the way, has a big family photo in it as a main visual) – thus, snowflakes. and it came back with this: the snowflake design is approved. but make it look artfully done. after i finish reading this, i was like HUH? WHA? (eyes bulging with mouth wide open smiley here). and my head was lost in space. how in the world would i make it look "artfully done"? color is out. we've tried that before and it sucks big time. too much snowflake loses the elegance that they so wanted. lesser and it would bomb right out. so what do they mean? arrange it in a single file? or do i have to draw eyes and mouth on it? do i have to make it fly, dance? or what?

a day later it came back with the same revision but this time they made it clearer. what they mean about "artfully done" is make more snowflakes. my God! so okay, i made a snowstorm of snowflake just to appease their minds.

hehe

unintentionally watching:
a movie review chapter 1

as the month of June rolls in...s
o is the first batch of movie festivals. first stop...the French Film Festival! bonjour :D for clarifications i've managed to catch only two (2) movies so far in the French Film Festival held at the Shangri-La mall in Mandaluyong City. Just been quite a busy bee because i've relocated offices once again. AND i got myself injured. nothing to do with work though. i'm at play when i sprained my ankle. which is really bad for my career as a freerunner hehe anyway, back to the movies... i happen to catch "Ah! Si j'étais riche" (If I Were A Rich Man) at the last minute.

it was a plan of whatever movie-we-happen-to-come-across-during-that-time thing. (snicker) and whoever it is available is pretty much welcome to accompany us in this last minute movie trip (we're spontaneous people you see hehe). it's also the second to the last day 'til the festival officially ends. it's also raining so damn hard. and i'm injured. but i wanted to see it before it ends. and a friend of mine is also so eager to watch as well with the same reason(s). Only, she arrived half an hour late and miss such a good film to watch. this film is nothing but the good ol' French dramacomedy. witty lines. simple story but beautifully told in an unobscure and weird kind of way.

The plot: Aldo Bonnard (played by Jean-Pierre Darroussin) is about to divorce his wife Alice (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) while his new boss, Gérard (Richard Berry), is a hypocritical man. Worse, he discovers that his wife has an affair with his boss. But one day, he wins a lottery of 10 million euros. He decides to leave his job and not to reveal the news to his wife until the day of the divorce.

it was more close to the heart of everyone. it's bright, witty, funny, charming, cynical, critical and surprising. it'll make you cry what with the emotional pain the characters have to go through only to smile at the same time. more like laughing with tears hehe it was really a pain in the ass but cute.

the second movie that we happen to catch (yes, its a "we" thing already...), is a very heavy drama set on the continents of canada and europe dealing with the rock and roll lifestyle—"Clean". starring Nick Nolte and Maggie Cheung. well, Nick really looked as if he had enough of being Hulk's father. he had aged. not clearly the Nick Nolte i remembered when i was a kid. Maggie on the other hand looked pretty much like Yoko Ono. but then that is just me. on to the story: a rockstar getting killed because of drug overdose and the blame was pointed at the wife, who was also a druggie and a controlling freak of a manager to her husband's career. they wanted her clean---free of drugs that is. she wanted her son back. the son that she left to chase her and her husband's rockstar dream. but she has to come clean. can she? would she be able to face her son after leaving him to grow up in the care of her husband's parents? would her son accept her as his mother? questions about responsibility, forgiveness, of turning a new leaf, of love, motherhood, and of being a woman. heavy drama, i tell you. good but pretty heavy. so heavy that we watched "Get SMART" afterwards :D

-----

we interrupt this program for a few short reminders:

BABY BLUES

Romeo & Don Quixote: Don Q being a man of honor, respected his lady Dulcinea's decision. "Don't ever make her cry." said the Don.
"For i'll come charging on my trusted steed Rocinante, from afar, just to cut your head off with the blade of my strong and noble sword, if Dulcinea's tear would drop and graze her immaculate cheeks."

Romeo thus pledged his integrity over those words. "I'll see to it that i'll never cause a tear from her eyes to fall. Your lady Dulcinea. My Juliet."

Of the many leagues and of many adventures waiting to be told, news reached Don Q. He was saddened by the tragedy that came upon the beautiful love story of Romeo and Juliet. He has nothing but utmost honor and respect for Romeo. The pledge that he(Romeo) uttered that daylight before they part – he did in flying colors.

And all he could
mutter is: "Romeo cried."

Now this story was never told in writing or in any spoken language–until today. Where leagues of countless missions, travels, and battles in the olden days of yore, that there came a time when the paths of Don Quixote and Romeo have crossed. From across the desert where Romeo resides as he escapes from his inevitable fate to where the comical noble knight Don Quixote was on a quest for an adventure. Though there are many differences of background, reasons and objectives...they are both outlaws of the wild desert. Don Q (for short), wandered away for awhile from Sancho (his*ehem* squire). Forming an alliance among the shades of each other's shadows in the burning heat of the sun, they journeyed on to a blind man's path to get out of the endless sand, sand dunes and sandstorms. Until they arrived on a town of which name I do not want to remember.

Back once again!
This time i'll be crossing continents (and dreaming), that i'm roaming around the famous Hollywood back lots in LA.

First in review will be the comedy film Get Smart which stars Steve Carell (40 year old Virgin, Evan Almighty), Anne Hathaway (Princess Diaries) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (The Mummy Returns, Scorpion King). It is a 2008 film adaptation of Mel Brooks (Robin Hood: Men In Thighs) and Buck Henry's 1960s spy parody television series in the US. This is a very old school slapstick comedy kind of movie. very witty and funny. especially, when you've come from watching a movie with a huge dose of heavy drama. hehehe. hey and Bill Murray was there (still reminds me of The Ghostbusters whenever i see him^^). Bungling secret agent Maxwell Smart, also known as Agent 86 for CONTROL, is on a mission to battle the forces of their evil crime nemesis known as KAOS with his more-competent partner Agent 99, (whose real name is never revealed) at his side. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreams of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23. Smart will do whatever it takes to thwart the latest plot for world domination by KAOS. (courtesy of imdb.com)

-------

and then there's WANTED which stars Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman. directed by Timur Bekmambetov. of which i've already dedicated a blog space a month back. need i say more? hehe wicked! one of the best movies this year^^

-------

from Europe to the US...we come right back across Asia with the Japanese Film Festival! \m/ i've only watched one rocking film from this film fest, but its worth it! yeah, after braving the rain, automobile traffic, long walk, work related stress, people bustling up and about, and the long line at the cinema entrance (which spans into two floors) – it's really worth the time spent seeing this film Linda! Linda! Linda!

it was some sort of a break from my infamous you tube and dvd watching activities. and i was really surprised that many came to see the film that shouts a girl's name in all its glory. and most were teenagers. which by the way, is also due to the fact that it was a free admission event hehe. in summary, Linda! Linda! Linda! is a movie about a teenage all-girls band in a Japanese school which has a Korean lead vocalist. Which is in fact, the general theme of the festival: the Japanese-Korean relationship. A very girl bonding-friendship-music movie. Not the usual girl bonding moments a.k.a sleep over type-let's fix your hair and make-up thingy. So no spice girls attitude here ha! more of old school punk rockers these girls are. it's more of how even though each one of them is different from one another (how quirky and moody some of them are), they are one in their goal. this is true to its form of how every individual brings something up to the plate and contribute to make music, because they love music. no matter if they are breaking boundaries or ideologies or even each other to understand each of them better. more like knowing the notes and how the bass would sound with the guitar while the drum beats pulsing rhythms to the tune of their ultimate cover song of punk indie musicians "Linda Linda Linda". Halfway through the film, the song gets stuck to everyone's head (specially mine haha) and even though it's in Japanese, you'd be banging your head and raising your fist forming horns shouting "rock on!" okay, i really miss going to the gigs... and this one made me remember what it feels like and sounds like being in one :D

and as a note: them girls reminds me some of our home grown female rockers here^^ may kamukha... hehe

so here's the first part of the movie-watching happenings since June of this year. which happens to be my so-called gagong palaboy long standing blog entry. more of backlogs hehe. okay time to post this first :D

soundtrack: put a penny in a slot by fionn regan

TODAY...is monday

it was an ordinary day. i think. but then most of the things that i have thought of are but a product of a "lucky guess" technique. and the results vary according to what situations it happened to fall on to. the answers differ everytime. Action and reaction are equal and opposite. as gertrude stein puts it. very logical. simple but hard to grasp.

i lost my ever dependable flipflop type of wallet (nay, i don't really fancy carrying a purse so there). lost it along the way. as i was going home. early. i do believe that i dropped it (my bag's zipper is open). i can't also give away the fact that maybe there is someone out there who needed it most than i do (so okay, may what that person find be of help). i believe its not really that much. but its okay. the only thing that really bothers me is the fact that i have to deal with all the hassles. all the stress of allotting time from my short and fast paced evironmental activity just to spend lining up and accomplishing forms, answer "duh" questions, and waiting for like an eternity just to get back what was lost. i was hoping it'd be found though (my wallet). don't really care if there is some moolah still, as long as other things that doesn't really concern finances are there. but anyway, the damage's done. so there.

what pisses me off really is how the "customer service" providers out there are not really customer service oriented people. i am a customer. but where's the service? i don't know really. they just told me it's the peak hours. busy time of the day. (in my head: someone's swiping my credit card over a pair of newly bought chair massager while i hang on to the phone on my now red ears and mimicking the record playing "our operators are busy at the moment. dial any number to leave a message or stay on the line.) funny peak hours. if this is a hospital, the victim would've died and the doctor is still stuck in the goddamn traffic while the nurses were telling everybody that it's the peak hours. now that's some kind of service. (they should have that special treat to give away whenever they pissed off somebody with their "service".) and i was just referring to a bank. BPI to be exact. lots of money to splash. but none to provide good quality service to it's customers. kinda like: when the going gets tough...they all start running the other way. pussies.

and hey, i like this free CD that i got on a mag that i bought in a thrift shop yesterday^^ my gift to myself hehe. nice music you see. cool compilation. sampler. 21 singles from various music artists. keeps my mood somber. lack of training and drinking. my beerbelly's getting bigger. damn. still recovering and rehabilitating my injury. i'll walk again. i'll run again. i'll jump again. this is me defying my odds. hehehe

wicked.

and the movie rocks and packs with lots of visual flair that sure to makes you want to stare wide-eyed with awe, squirm (that is... if you're really not the bloodsport type of person), and experience a dreadful misery of you wanting to grab hold of a gun and point it at anyone who dared push you to your "goody two shoes" limit everytime there's that sudden HULK-like tantrum surprise emerges. oh well... read on:

Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is a neurotic accounts manager who works in a small cubical filling out billing reports day in and day out. He allows his boss, his girlfriend, and his best friend to walk all over him. To cope with his life, he takes anti-anxiety pills by the bottle full. Wesley has no desire to change his humdrum life, but one day while getting more pills at the drug store, he meets a beautiful woman, Fox (Angelina Jolie), who changes his life forever. Fox was sent to protect Wesley from the man who had just killed his father. Fox tells Wesley that his father died yesterday on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Building and that he will be next. Wesley is recruited into the "Fraternity," a secret society of assassins that his father was a member. Fox must train Wesley to bring out his special powers that he was born with in order to avenge his fathers death. The Fraternity's leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), also teaches Wesley the ways of the group, and Wesley soon becomes an assassin just like his father.

i really don't know, if there is at one time in the movie that got me bored. the director Timur Bekmambetov of the Russian blockbuster film "Nighwatch" and "Daylight" knows his turf when it comes to an action packed story telling. he mastered the action sequence enough that it can be safely called "dangerously cool" (insert me smiley with shades here snickering hehe). And hey, that guy with his rodent friends look very familiar^^ okay...if you're really suddenly wishing that i should stop writing about the movie based on motion visual aesthetics, i will right now. because it's not really how everything looked as it goes, it's all about how the story just wrecks your head just like the main character of the movie (Wesley Gibson played by James McAvoy) have to go through. uhmmm, he had 6 weeks; as a movie-goer...it just took me 2 hours or so to sit through the whole film and literally take part as the story unfolds. Angelina Jolie is a distraction. need i say more? and the music?...KICK-ASS!

take control of your life.

----

i didn't have any plan for the day. (like i am good when it comes to planning? harhar) it's just gonna be a very quiet nursing a sprain kind of day (hay injured palaboy taking a break off the street roaming activity). and i retired to reading piles of magazine stacked neatly on my desk with the radio blasting off the hits of the 90s. or so i think 'til i got a text: "let's watch WANTED." (thought bubble: i am wanted!) i texted back: "game."

we're locked and loaded.
and we got the red hot porsche running, flying and tumbling through the streets that night.
hmmm... kinda like freerunning on wheels hehe (i'm missing it so bad)

another comedy

wahaw! ilang days na lang at may 1 month anniversary na akong hindi nakakapag log-in as a multiply user. and funny thing is... nabigyan pa ako ng warning notice for being so active dito. hay, whatever. so ayun. so here... even though, i could post a lot of things due to the fact that i've been hibernating i'll just give a small talk at the going ons around manila. hehe for all those people who have been reading blogs, i don't know if you've checked out the fiery blog that ignited the whole "Manila High Society Scandal". wala lang. it's a fun read bwahehehe anyway, as backgrounder to the whole worldwide web issue that involves major high society young players of our country... may it be said in short, that wise saying "what you reap is what you sow" is very true to the bone. love, friendships, life, lies, affairs, attitudes and bad behaviors in one freaking blog. see link: http://delfindjmontano.blogspot.com/ for the whole bruhaha. funny lang basahin yung mga comments. VERY SCANDALOUS. HAHA Like i give a damn. they never really give a damn about anyone else either. (okay naman pala maging coke addict yumayaman ang mga pushers. yun na lang kaya trabaho ko? whatchathink?) our country's going to hell because of it's people. i'm so adik the past few days because of my hectic sched (feeling!) well, magpakabangag ka ba naman, tumakbo, tumalon, at mapuyat... with matching sakit ng katawan and all... i would have to survive the holy week without the alcoholic beverages and stress clogging my system. hehe and i thank HIM at least for looking out for the safety of my mom yesterday (p*tanginang mga modus operandi gang yan, ke lalake ng mga katawan hindi man lang magkargador sa pier para may mapangkain sila if nagugutom sila.) on a lighter note naman, swerte din yung target ng mga modus operandi gang kase mukhang sa sobrang luma daw nung celfone model at nakataling wallet e binalik nila yun dun sa biktimang walang kamuwang-muwang sa mga pangyayari ^^ SCANDALOUS. well, what can i say, it kept me amused during this holy week.

hehehe

*****
got this from another blog.
what a shame.
and i think somebody's all fired up and ready to go hahaha game!
the nitwit antagonists involved in this shitty drama should be thrown in mud.
wow! and it would take someone who's practically a loving traveler to beat the crap out of those guys. and yup, the alarm was being raised on an international level IF the culprits really doesn't have any shame left. what a waste all those billboard lining up the streets with the faces that shrouds the beasts that they are.

high society.
always keeping the shame underwraps with a false sense of glamour.

and the name drops are really getting testier by every post. bigger.
shame.
that's all i can say.
what a waste really.

a not so busy weekend
that ended being busy after all

i always confuse this movie with Jum-Ong the Japanese horror flick hehe. and i'm interested with the story plot though but i haven't seen its trailer...just by word of mouth (of which they always say "hey that movie's good. period.") so believe the unbelievable that my movie and tv-watching habits were reduced to reading and telling stories hehe. until one weekend break my friend dragged my butt at the cinemas to watch this film^^ (but of course! -the kaladkaring palaboy in me succeeded. katamaran out of the way hehe). and well it's a celebration din because she finally passed the board exam (mag-i-stokwa daw ako sa luggage nya if ever hehe go girl!) okay. here's the plot. though i really suggest that you watch the film because it's really worth seeing. cool soundtrack pa! :D

Sixteen year-old Juno MacGuff is the type of girl that beats to her own drummer, and doesn't really care what others may think of her. She learns that she's pregnant from a one-time sexual encounter with her best friend, Paulie Bleeker. Juno and Paulie like each other, but don't consider themselves to be exclusive boyfriend/girlfriend let alone be ready to be a family complete with child. Although she would rather not be pregnant, Juno is fairly pragmatic about her situation. Although there, Paulie really leaves all the decisions about the baby to Juno. Initially she decides that she will have an abortion, but that's something that she ultimately cannot go through with. So she decides to have the baby and give it up for adoption. The next step is to find prospective parents for the yet unborn child. In the Pennysaver ad section, Juno finds Mark and Vanessa Loring, a yuppie couple living in the suburbs. Juno likes the Lorings, and in some respects has found who looks to be a kindred spirit in Mark, with whom she shares a love of grunge music and horror films. Vanessa is a little more uptight and is the one in the relationship seemingly most eager to have a baby. On her own choosing, Juno enters into a closed rather than open adoption contract with the Lorings - meaning she will have no contact with the baby after she gives it up. During the second and third trimesters of Juno's pregnancy which she treats with care but detachment, Juno's relationships with her family, with Paulie, and with the Lorings develop, the latter whose on the surface perfect life masks some hidden problems. honestly, this is a very simple story. a very simple take at life. but it touches a heck lot of subject the general public would rather keep to themselves than understanding. and that weekend that the Zero men rappel from a building to Zero in on everyone with the New Coke Zero. e the day before that i had a nice parkour jam with our group at the QC circle (early in the morning when i had a meager sleep na "sort of" nabawi ko after haha). sabi ko nga weekend break hehe makapaglinins na nga ng kwarto.

Movies
alien ant farm

At slow speed we all seem focused
In motion we seem wrong
In summer we can taste the rain

I want you to be free
Don't worry about me
And just like the movies
We play out our last scene

Two can play this game
We both want power
In winter we can taste the pain

In our short years, we come long way
To treat it bad and throw away

I want you to be free
Don't worry about me
And just like the movies
We play out our last scene

You won't cry, I won't scream

In our short years we come long way
To treat it bad and throw away
And if we make a little space
A science fiction showcase
In our short film, a love disgrace
Dream a scene to brighten face
In our short years we come long way
To treat it bad, just to throw it away

I want you to be free
Don't worry about me
And just like the movies
We play out our last scene

You won't cry, I won't scream
